President Trump signed The Great American Outdoors Act today, a sweeping and historic conservation bill that won overwhelming bipartisan support from the U.S. Congress.
Mike Daulton, Executive Director of Bat Conservation International, hailed the act as a “historic win for both people and nature.”
“The Great American Outdoors Act will help protect millions of acres of national parks, wildlife refuges, and other public lands while also creating jobs and sustaining local economies,” Daulton said.
America’s public lands also are home to 45 species of bats, which play a vital role in restoring our natural ecosystems and supporting local economies.
