Your help with any of the following items would make a big difference to the level of efficiency in our office. To make a donation, or for more information, please call Robert Benson at BCI, 512-327-9721, ext. 27.
BCI’s record-keeping software is outdated and allows access to only six staff members. To increase efficiency, the 12-user DataEase for Windows software program is a necessity. Any contribution toward this expense would be greatly appreciated ($2,400).
Additionally, our Publications department needs a second copy of QuarkXPress, the page-layout software program they use to design our printed materials. We would be grateful for a donation to cover the cost of this purchase as well ($675).
As BCI grows, so do the demands on our two office printers. With a staff of 25, waiting in the queue for print-outs has become a time-consuming ordeal. Another HP Laserjet 4 printer ($1,900) would significantly reduce this traffic jam.
Many thanks to Chuck Pease and Cynthia Vann of Prescott, AZ, for their contributions toward the purchase of photographic equipment and audiovisual aids. Thanks also to Joshua and Julianna Kershen of Oklahoma City, OK, and Joseph E. Davis, Jr., and family of Topeka, KS, for their gifts of carousel slide trays. Your gifts are helping BCI continue to share and improve the most remarkable bat photo collection in the world.
