Fall of 1996 marked the first time BCI participated in the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) and the Texas State Employee Charitable Campaign (SECC). The results–approximately $35,000 in donations–greatly exceeded our expectations and are proving to be a tremendous support for BCI programs. This year we will also be in the California, Connecticut, Maryland, Michigan, Utah, Washington, and Wisconsin state campaigns.
These government campaigns are conducted every fall and offer federal and state employees the opportunity to designate contributions to favorite non-profits through pre-tax payroll deductions. This is an easy way for BCI members to renew their memberships and an excellent opportunity to increase bat awareness. If you want to renew your membership through these campaigns, be sure to check the “I want to be acknowledged” box on your pledge form.
Please keep in mind that although the campaign begins in the fall, we do not begin receiving the funds until the following May, so unfortunately there can be a several-month delay in our acknowledging your membership renewal. We truly appreciate your participation!
