BCI’s twice-a-year catalogue does more than help provide revenue for daily operations; its offerings can also be an important contribution toward spreading the message about bats. When asked about the unique bat jewelry or t-shirt they’re wearing, many members take the opportunity to talk about bats and BCI. Other catalogue items are more directly educational, such as our audiovisual programs, activity books, and posters.
BCI encourages your ideas on what you would like to see in the catalogue. We’re particularly interested in educational items and what would best help you educate others. For instance, numerous requests from teachers led directly to the production of our Educator’s Activity Book About Bats and to our newest video, “Very Elementary Bats.”
We welcome all ideas: new topics for educational programs, books and booklets, new posters, jewelry, clothing, novelty items, or something we haven’t even thought of yet. What would you like to see more of? Less of? Our aim is to provide you with the best tools we can to help you educate others about bats and to proclaim your support for their conservation.
So, if you have an idea, please write Linda Rogers at BCI or call 512-327-9721.
