BCI to Host Bat Research Meetings


Bat researchers from the U.S., Canada, and Mexico will converge in Austin, Texas, October 16-20 when BCI hosts the 21st Annual Meeting of the North American Symposium on Bat Research. More than 200 chiroptologists are expected to attend the scientific sessions dealing with bat biology, ecology, behavior and conservation. Meeting rooms and accommodations will be at the Crest Hotel next to Austin's famous Congress Avenue bridge, home to 750,000 Mexican free-tailed bats.
