National Zoo Bat Exhibit to Open with Lecture

Merlin Tuttle, BCI's Founder, will give an evening lecture at the National Zoological Park in Washington, D.C., October 30, 1989. The occasion will celebrate the opening of the National Zoo's new bat exhibit, The Bat Cave. This is the first of several bat exhibits to be developed by the National Zoo. Accompanying educational materials and daily lectures by the batkeepers compose an expanded educational program designed to educate zoogoers about the importance and value of bats. All BCI members in the greater Washington, D.C., area will receive an invitation to the exhibit opening and Dr. Tuttle's lecture. For more information call the National Zoo's Public Affairs Office at 202/673-4728.
