The 16th International Bat Research Conference (IBRC) is joining forces with the 43rd North American Symposium on Bat Research (NASBR) to hold what is billed as the world's largest meeting of bat researchers in San Jose, Costa Rica, August 12-16, 2013.

NASBR pulls together bat scientists from throughout North America, while the IBRC draws its attendance from around the world. The two conferences previously conducted a joint conference in Merida, Mexico, in 2007. The 2013 event will be at the Hotel Herradura in San Jose.

Local hosts are the Program for Conservation of Costa Rican Bats, the University of Costa Rica and the Asociación Theria. Learn More.
