Board of Trustees Adds Six New Members

BCI is pleased to welcome six new Board members: Eugene L. Ames, Jr., Dr. Floyd S. Brandt, Michael L. Cook, Robert E. Gerrie, Wilhelmina R. Morian and Mark T. Ritter. These outstanding individuals will lend their vast managerial, business, and conservation expertise to BCI's programs and initiatives.

Eugene Ames is president of the Independent Petroleum Association of America and of Venus Oil Company in San Antonio. He serves as a board member of several San Antonio groups, including the Southwest Foundation for Biomedical Research.

Floyd Brandt serves as the Marlene and Morton Meyerson Centennial Professor of Business Administration at the University of Texas-Austin. He has been a management consultant to numerous companies and is the author of 12 books on labor relations and business management.

Michael Cook is an Austin attorney. He serves as a board member for several Austin civic groups, including the Texas Memorial Museum Foundation.

Robert Gerrie is a vice president of Merrill Lynch Consumer Markets. He is active in several Austin civic groups.

Beth Morian is a Houston resident and a partner in various real estate and oil/gas ventures. She serves on the board of several Houston groups, including the Houston Zoological Society, the University of Texas Health Science Center, and is chairman of the board of The Cullen Trust for Health Care.

Mark Ritter is a partner in the Austin accounting firm of Maxwell, Locke and Ritter. He is active in several Austin civic groups.
