Founder’s Circle

Our Founder’s Circle members provide vital support that helps BCI respond effectively to bat-conservation emergencies around the world, and play a leading role in creating a lasting legacy for our future. By donating $1,000 or more, Founder’s Circle members enjoy exclusive benefits, such as invitations to special events and ecotours and a quarterly update from the founder highlighting recent successes and challenges.

The Madagascar Founder’s Circle Trip in 2005 was an exciting adventure! Talented expert guides, Dr. Merlin Tuttle and Fiona Reid, led the trip. Unique insights were provided by Madagascar’s leading mammalogist, Dr. Steven Goodman; Malagasy bat expert Fanja Ratrimomanarivo; and a local naturalist/guide. In each park, on-site naturalists explored and described the special features. Although the trip emphasized bats and nocturnal outings, members enjoyed far more of Madagascar and its unique wildlife than on a more general nature tour.

BCI’s 2007 Founder’s Circle Adventure will explore Australia and New Zealand, home to a host of unusual animals, including more than 75 species of bats. The trip will be October 24-November 9, 2007. If you’d like to join us on this exotic ecotour, please contact the Director of Development at development@batcon.org or call (512) 327-9721. Space for this trip is extremely limited, so please reserve your place now.
