Bats are mostly ignored – or worse – by the public for most of the year, but the flying mammals get a lot of attention at Halloween. So BCI Member Karen Waschinski, an artist in Stratford, Ontario, Canada, figures this is the perfect time to feature work from a variety of artists to raise money for bats and BCI.

For the third year in a row, Waschinski is hosting the Online Halloween Artists' Studio Trick-or-Treat festivities during the entire month of October. The online-only event gives visitors a virtual tour of the artists' studios and a look at their artwork, much of it with a Halloween theme, as well as some Halloween history, recipes and a contest. And, of course, there's a lot of information about the benefits of bats and the threats they face.
