Your help with any of the following special needs would make a big difference in our jobs. To make a donation, or for more information, please call Bob Benson at BCI (512) 327-9721, ext. 27.
As BCI continues to grow, so do demands to participate in conferences and special events. To do so, we need a new tabletop display. We would be grateful for donations to offset the $2,550 cost of an Exposé tabletop system and lights.
Special Project Tools
A miniature temperature logger and a cordless drill and saw would greatly aid our research efforts as we build and monitor bat houses and retrofit bridges for bat roosts. A DeWalt DW996K 14.4 heavy duty 1/2" adjustable drill/driver/hammer drill kit costs $220.00 and a
5 3/8" cordless saw of the same make costs $240.00. A 14.4-volt heavy duty XR Pack (extra battery) and 4 HOBO/StowAway Temp loggers cost $200.00. The total cost for these tools is $660. Donations in any amount would be very helpful.
A special thanks to Harry Stephens, of Hallsville, Texas for his contribution to the resource library, and to The World Earth Center of Princeton, New Jersey, for their donation toward the purchase of field equipment.
We also want to thank IBM for matching the donations of BCI's
"Big Blue" members. Together their contributions have allowed us to purchase a new laser printer.
