Matching Gifts and Payroll Deductions


Two great ways to make your money work as hard as you do!

Matching Gifts
Last year, 40 different companies contributed to bat conservation by matching their employees' gifts to BCI. With the power to double or even triple a donation to your favorite organization, a matching gift is a job benefit no one should pass up. Ask your human resources director if your company has a matching gift program, and if they do, send your company's matching gift form along with your contribution. If BCI meets their giving guidelines, you can watch your contribution multiply at no additional cost to you.

Payroll Deduction
Many BCI members are making a difference for bats each month through workplace payroll deductions. BCI participates in the Combined Federal Campaign, as well as various state giving campaigns and many other private and public campaigns. If your workplace is involved in a payroll deduction campaign, you can designate BCI on your form. We will apply your donation to your membership when we receive notice of your gift from the campaign coordinators (usually in April or May for a fall campaign).

When you arrange for a payroll deduction or corporate matching gift, you support research such as BCI's Indiana Bat Study, which is documenting bats' temperature and humidity requirements in Indiana, Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, Missouri, and Illinois. The study will help improve management recommendations for the recovery of this endangered species.
