National Geographic Features Bats

The April 1986 issue of National Geographic will include a 19-page article by Dr. Merlin Tuttle about African epauletted bats. Entitled, "Gentle Flyers of the African Night," the article emphasizes the importance of these bats and other flying foxes and focuses attention on their plight. A 2-page map will illustrate endangerment and extinction of flying foxes worldwide with a sidebar informing readers about BCI's conservation activities and where to write for more information.
