Judges Cave Protected

Judges Cave near Marianna, Florida, contains one of the five largest nursery colonies of bats in eastern North America. With help from BCI and the Florida Game and Fresh Water Fish Commission, the Florida Nature Conservancy has purchased this critical site. Arrangements for protection soon will be complete, and bat emergence watches and interpretive activities are planned. We thank those generous BCI members who helped make this possible.
